  1. Population and dissenters: We have in this Parish about six and Twenty Families. Two of them are Dissenters of Presbyterian Denomination. We have no Meeting House of any sort in this Parish.

  2. Public or charity schools: We have no publick or charity school endowed or otherwise maintain’d in this Parish.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: No.

  4. Residence upon cure: I intend to reside, by your Lordship’s Leave, at Comb St Nicholas in the County of Somerset, being presented to that Vicarage by the Reveren’d Dean of Wells.1

  5. Curate: The Curate Mr John Carwithen; having your Lordship’s Licence, resides in the Parish, but do’s not live in the Paronsage House – I allow him £30 per annum with the Perquisites of the Parish.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I perform Divine Service at no other Church besides my own; except it be in Exchange, or to help a neighbouring Clergyman.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On every Lord’s Day with a sermon after morning and evening Prayer; And upon other Holy Days when the People can be prevail’d on to come to church.

  8. Frequency of communion: Four Times a year. Namely at Christmas Easter Whitsunday and Michaelmas.

  9. Number of communicants: As I am not yet in Priests Orders, I cannot satisfy your Lordship as well as I would. The Clerk tells me about Eighteen and That, about that number, communicated last Easter.

  10. Catechising of children: The Children of this Parish are catechised in the Summer Quarter for about Four or Five Sundays. The Parishioners are not very careful in sending their Children and servants to be instructed by me.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: We have no Chapel in this Parish.
